About Arab Open University – Kuwait
The Arab Open University - Kuwait is a non-profit university. The university aims to provide teaching and learning to international quality standards, without the usual time or geographical barriers to learning.
Students will need a percentage of at least 60 per cent in their high school exams or a 2.00 GPA in order to apply. However, those with lower marks may apply if they also have four years of work experience and can make a compelling case for their enrolment.
There are three faculties that students can study at the Arab Open University. The faculty of business studies operates a non-traditional teaching approach and aims to teach students the full spectrum of business and management education.
The faculty of computer studies aims to equip students with the technological skills to move into careers in both the Middle East and beyond. Students will graduate and be ready for a range of jobs including web design, system analysis and software development. Lastly there is the faculty of language studies which was established in 2002, when the university first launched
